Work your Magic in Backgammon
Is there such a thing as magic in the Backgammon world? Well, there is. But, this magic does not require you to cast any spells or do Houdini-like moves just to win at Backgammon. The magic in Backgammon refers to the strategy that you have to be able to distract your opponent. Aside from the strategy, you need to work on how you can execute the strategy smoothly or shall we say, irritatingly.
So, are you wondering now what these magic tricks are? Let's not keep you waiting that long. Here are the numerous magic tricks that you can do yourself to sweep the best in any Backgammon game!
Warm-up!
Remember what you are about to do entails you to look seriously and sincerely irritating! You will be using the power of words, gestures and facial expressions to distract your opponent so you can win the game! The key here is to always notice the things that are happening to him such as:
1.Opponent's rolls Always keep an eye on his rolls. If he gets a pretty good roll, that roll would never be good enough for you. You can tell him that he was just being lucky! And if he gets a really bad roll, laugh out loud. Always emphasize that he's got the worst roll ever. Or just say, "See, I told you so. You are so out of luck tonight!" Then, top it off with a very hearty laugh!
2.Your rolls Always think that you got the best roll ever. Tell them that even that best roll may not be good enough for what you had performed in the previous Backgammon rolls! The key here is overconfidence. Never let your opponent see any tinge of defeat in your eyes.
3. If the opponent wins the game Oh, he's never good enough for you. Tell him that you just wanted him to taste how it feels to win in a Backgammon game. Always make him feel that he was just lucky enough on that game.
4. If you win the game If you win the game, then you are also not good enough. Tell your opponent that you could not believe how you were able to win the game despite those bad rolls that you have made.
5. Rolling technique Become an expert in performing your rolling technique so whenever you need to do a very important roll, you can always make the dice roll off from the table and you would make him wait for you to make a couple more dice rolls. And then, tell him that patience is a key!
6. The power of yelling When he really does something bad such as a very pathetic roll, do not forget to yell, "Yes!"
7. Messy with me When you are eating while playing, it is not an eye sore if you try to scatter a few bread crumbs on his board. You can intentionally make his board mess-friendly.
